The interesting Cave Art Visitor Centre is located in the small village of Colungo, close to Alquézar,
It is an excellent starting place to discover a few of the many shelters in the area that display Neolithic rock paintings. The views in the area are breathtaking and in particular the panorama from the cave of Mallata are spectacular. Guided visits are available to many of the caves and shelters.

This is one of many Visitor Centres within the River Vero Cultural Park.
As well as the Colungo visitor centre, we recommend the Naval pottery, where the souls of the ancient potters still live on. In the same area you will also find the ancient salt flats, and in summer in is possible to bathe in salt pools with a higher salt concentration than the Dead Sea.
