STEEL DISCS WITH ISOLATING BASE |
|
These steel discs combine the benefits of rigid polyamide isolation with the shock absorbing properties of elastomer, significantly elevating the absorption coefficient. These accessories put the finishing touches to the set-up of the audio-racks and speakers from a technological point of view, eliminating the Larsen effect (or audio feedback) from analogical and digital sources.
This type of disc improves listening in mid-high frequencies, although it is specifically designed to control effects at low frequencies; these are more susceptible to uncontrolled noise and are more likely to be affected by resonance. This control appears as an improvement across the whole passband and a final result is definition between notes and greater clarity in sound. (Often referred to as "silence between the notes.")
VERSIONS
A) Standard concave steel discs with isolating polyamide base supporting steel pins that afford a vibration decoupling point. These discs are included as standard with all of our units: 19" Kit, Improved 19" Kit, Audio-Video table, Reference and Prestige. They are also included with our speaker stands and electronics platform. Recommended weight per single disc is 70kg.
B) Maximum absorption discs have similar characteristics as the standard discs (above) but are larger. They also include an elastomer sheet between discs, which isolates low frequencies of between 80 c/s and subsonic frequencies. They are an optional upgrade for all of our products and are recommended for acoustic units and floor speakers. Recommended weight per single disc is 40kg.
C) These stainless steel discs are in a superior class as they have a higher absorption coefficient and are more rigid and stable against parasitic vibrations from housing units. They are recommended as an upgrade for acoustic units and floor speakers. Recommended weight per single disc is 60kg.
D) Maximum absorption inverted disc. These discs are especially designed for floor components; power sources, batteries, filters etc. They are height adjustable and include fixing adhesive. They can be combined with the Standard disc as an optional extra.
